DIVING ANDORRA

DIVING ANDORRA is a project which aims to make Andorra renown around the world for high mountain scuba diving.

Diving is not only a sea water activity and Andorra offers a unique terrain for the practice of this sport with its myriad of fresh water mountain lakes.

High altitude lakes, with unique ecosystems, are situated more than two thousand meters above sea level and are a far cry from the usual itineraries of the diving world. With depths ranging from 15m to 90m you can scuba in waters 2,000m to 2,700m above sea level, offering an unforgettable journey to develop your diving experiences and skills.

In the heart of wild nature, surrounded by high peaks, where access to the lakes can only be made on foot or by helicopter, you will find crystal clear waters in natural lakes forged by the glaciers more than ten thousand years ago.

These waters are full of freshwater life including trout, amphibians, small vertebrates and local micro-organisms that are still being discovered. This offers divers the chance to practice the most pure and authentic diving.

Submerge in waters where few have done so before; be the first to explore mountain lakes 2,500 meters above sea level; observe the spectacular shapes carved by Mother Nature and marvel at the magical impact of the ice on sunlight during the winter and spring months.
